Terms of service

Sherlock — The Game of Logic · sherlock.biplane.cc
Last updated: 17 October 2026

By using sherlock.biplane.cc you accept these terms. They are short and say what you would expect from a free hobby site.

What this is

A free, non-commercial logic puzzle you play in your browser. There is nothing to buy, nothing to subscribe to and no advertising. The game is fully playable without an account; signing in with Google is optional and only syncs your results between devices.

Not affiliated with the original

This is an independent, amateur remake of the classic logic puzzle popularised by “Sherlock: The Game of Logic” by Everett Kaser Software. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to Everett Kaser or Everett Kaser Software in any way. No files, graphics, sounds or data from the original game are distributed here: every icon and image on this site was drawn from scratch. All trademarks and names belong to their respective owners. If a rights holder has a concern, write to me and I will change or take down whatever is at issue.

No warranty

The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. I do not promise that the site is available, that it works correctly, that puzzles or results are preserved, or that it will exist tomorrow. It runs on a single server as a hobby, and it may be changed, interrupted or shut down at any time without notice. To the maximum extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any loss arising from using — or not being able to use — the site. Keep nothing valuable here; your solved-puzzle list is not a valuable thing.

Accounts

You may sign in with a Google account that is yours to use. One Google account is one account here. You are responsible for the security of your Google account; anyone who can sign in as you can see and change your results.

Acceptable use

Please do not:

If an account is used this way I may disable it or block access, without notice and at my discretion. A disabled account can no longer sign in; its data is handled exactly as described in the privacy policy.

Fair play

Everything — puzzle generation, solving, timing — happens in your browser, so results sent to the server cannot be verified and are not treated as proof of anything. Faking them mostly cheats you. If a public leaderboard is added later, fabricated results are grounds for disabling the account.

Your data

What is stored, where, and how to have it deleted is described in the privacy policy.

Changes to these terms

These terms may change; the “Last updated” date above tells you when they last did. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new version.

Governing law and contact

This is a private, non-commercial project; these terms are governed by the law of the owner’s country of residence, and nothing here removes any mandatory consumer rights you may have where you live. Before anything formal, please just write to me — I would much rather fix a problem than argue about one: sergey.erin@gmail.com.
