How to play

Every picture appears exactly once in its row. Work out the column of every picture from the clues: LEFT-click a small candidate to make it known, RIGHT-click to remove it as a possibility. The puzzle is solved when all cells are known. The clues never lie.

Horizontal clues — relations between columns

Next-to. The middle picture is in a column adjacent to the outer picture's column — but which side is unknown.

Not-next-to. The crossed picture is NOT in a column adjacent to the outer picture's column. The same column is not forbidden — they are in different rows. (Outer pictures are identical; that is how you tell it from "not-between", whose outer pictures differ.)

Left-of. The left picture is somewhere to the left of the right picture — at any distance.

Between. The three pictures are in three consecutive columns and the middle picture is exactly in the middle; the outer two may be mirrored.

Not-between. The outer pictures are exactly two columns apart (either way round), and the crossed picture is NOT in the column between them.

Vertical clues — relations inside one column

Same column. All pictures of the stack (two or three) are in the same column.

Different columns. The crossed (Ø) picture is NOT in the column of the others. In the three-picture variant the two uncrossed pictures ARE in one column.

One of two. The top picture is in the same column as exactly one of the two pictures below — never both.

Mouse & keys

LEFT-click a candidate — make it known; RIGHT-click — remove the possibility. Mistakes are undone with Undo.
LEFT-click a clue — toggle a red bookmark frame; SHIFT+LEFT-click — mirror its drawing (a mnemonic, meaning is unchanged).
RIGHT-click a clue — move it to Other Clues and back; the magnifier button switches between the two clue baskets.
MIDDLE-click a clue — auto-apply it when it is fully used up; hold MIDDLE on a picture — highlight it everywhere. CTRL+LEFT-click a picture (on the board or in a clue) — toggle the same highlight.
